Taylor Bailey
Biliary Atresia,
Indianapolis
Taylor was just 10 days old when she had her first surgery. She was born with biliary atresia, a liver disease that causes the bile ducts to be very tiny or absent. Riley surgeons performed a kasai procedure, creating a makeshift bile duct. The 5-year-old recently developed an infection which was corrected by a procedure that connected part of her intestine to her liver. She has recovered beautifully. Taylor loves to dance, sing and play with animals.
